Jesus therefore blesses not those who merely hear His Word, but those who welcome it with generosity, permit it to challenge and reshape them, and persevere until their lives bear the fruit of holiness. Discipleship begins by listening, but it grows through living what we hear. A generous heart welcomes God’s Word without resistance, allowing it to shape our choices, relationships, and priorities.
